About Us

St Aidan's Preschool has been registered with OFSTED since 1984 and has a dedicated workforce who have all worked for the preschool for a considerable time with the nursery having a very low turnover of staff. All staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Our manager is qualified to Level 6 in childcare with all of our staff being trained to a minimum Level 3.

At St Aidan's each child has a 'key person' - the person that the child bonds with the most in the first few weeks - who will continue to work closely with your child whilst they are at the preschool. Every child is valued and are planned for to meet their individual needs, wants and interests, working closely with families to form a partnership to provide the best package for each child whilst valuing their input into their child's development and planning.

Parents/carers will receive regular progress reports and 'all about me' documents on their child's progress. Observations and photographic evidence are provided for each of the learning areas from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This helps us to plan for all individual children's individual needs and learning. At the end of their stay, you will be given a file with all of these observations, photographs, key person notes and their own work, which provides you with a complete record of achievement.

All staff are extremely approachable and are willing to listen and help with any concerns you may have with your child.

St Aidan's staff work closely with other agencies to provide the best support, care and learning experience for your child. All staff attend regular training to keep them updated, all staff are paediatric first aid trained and all staff are trained to Level 1 in safeguarding with two at level 2. All staff have basic food hygiene certificates and are also trained to Level 2 in Equality and Diversity.

Our Deputy Manager currently holds the position of two year old coordinater, which qualifies her in working specifically with two year olds so that the Preschool can provide the best possible care and environment for two year olds.

Our Manager has recently attained her degree in Early Years Care and Education and as such is extremely qualified and experienced in the care, educational needs and developments of the children who attend our setting.

St Aidan's Preschool is a non-profit organisation, with all money raised been put back into the setting to buy and provide the best possible resources for the children within our care, thus providing the best quality care at the best possible price. For all three and four year olds we have free-funded educational places, meaning it can be completely free for your child if they are in this age bracket. This is also available two year funded places for some two year olds who are deemed eligible, however this is determined by the council, which we can help in applying for.

If you have any questions, please visit our contact page and get in touch.

We'd love to hear from you!

All children and families are encouraged to come and visit the preschool at any time.

Events:
Graduation Day!

We think it's important for our children to realise their achievements which is why we hold our graduation day for our leavers every year.

Children are presented with a graduation hat, medal and certificate so they'll always remember they're time at St Aidan's.

"The development has been incredible!"

"What a

wonderful team you are!"
